We are excited to announce that a Zeiss Axio Imager Z2 epifluorescence upright microscope will soon be installed in the NIC, funded by the Research Cores Revitalization Program supported by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research with funding from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation. Features will include:
- Motorized XY and Z with 8-slide Piezo scanning stage
- Collibri 7 LED fluorescent light source with filter sets for DAPI, CFP, GFP, YFP, Cy3, mCherry, Cy5 and Cy7
- Objectives: 5x/0.25, 10x/0.45, 20x/0.8, 40x/0.95, 63x/1.4 and 100x/1.4 with full DIC
- Transmitted and reflected LED light sources, motorized condenser and switching mirror
- Polarization for transmitted and reflected light
- Color and monochrome CMOS cameras
- Apotome3 SIM slider for optical sectioning
- Software for z-stack, EDF, autofocus, tiles, multi-position, stitching, direct processing, and colocalization
